OSTHON'26 Open Source Challenge Lead

As the Technical Lead at Kanpur AI , I designed and managed a hands-on Open Source Contribution Challenge during OSTHON'26. The activity was built around the open-source project kanpur.dev , where participants were encouraged to make real-world contributions through GitHub.

My responsibilities included reviewing submissions, providing feedback, guiding contributors through GitHub best practices, and merging accepted pull requests into the project repository. The goal was to give students practical experience with collaboration, code reviews, issue tracking, and modern development workflows.

🚀 Open source becomes easier when you contribute to real projects, work with maintainers, and learn by building together.

MLH Global Hack Week: GenAI

So I randomly started exploring the MLH Global Hack Week: GenAI challenges — and it turned out to be way more fun than expected. Tried multiple activities around GitHub, Auth0, Cloudinary, APIs, and GenAI Works tools, while experimenting with small builds and learning new workflows along the way. One of the activitie was building a Mood Based AI Quote Generator using emotion detection + AI-generated responses. 🚀 Sometimes the best learning happens when you’re just exploring without overthinking.

Hacktoberfest Super Contributor

Enhanced Privacy Policy Page: Improved the overall layout and design for better user readability.
Revamped Home Component: Integrated smooth animations and engaging visuals to boost user experience.
Upgraded Navigation Bar: Added a dynamic user menu and scroll effects for more intuitive navigation.
Backend Logic Update: Refactored and updated the message.controller.js file for improved functionality.
Frontend Styling Overhaul: Refactored CSS across components to enhance the overall design and user experience (UX).
Project File Contributions: Uploaded and integrated various source files to multiple web development projects.

It was an amazing journey of learning, coding, and contributing to the open-source community!
